Bodegas Príncipe de Viana is one of the most modern, go-ahead vitivinicultural groups in Spain. Since its creation in 1983, our growth and expansion has been constant and we are, at present, an important company in the Navarra business scene with outstanding facilities and a dynamic young team. Bodegas Príncipe de Viana controls 900 hectares of vineyards in Murchante, a town located 100 kilometres south of Pamplona, on the Pamplona-Madrid axis. In 1998-99, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana undertook major investments in order to carry out an ambitious plan of expansion and modernisation. Over 6,000,000 € were invested in the construction of a new bodega in Murchante, next to the old facilities. With a surface area of eleven thousand square metres, it is one of the most significant viticultural facilities in Spain, providing Bodegas Príncipe de Viana with the latest vinification technology. Further extension to our facilities has become necessary, which we are combining with an ambitious garden landscaping project which will turn the bodega into an attractive vitivinicultural complex where we will be able to stage events relating to wine (visits, tastings, etc.) and culture in general (concerts, theatre, etc.). The new bodega consists of three main facilities: - Winemaking facility with a capacity for 6 million of Km of uva. - Ageing facility with a capacity for 15,000 oak casks and over 1,000,000 bottles in metal cages. - Bottling and storage facility consisting of two modern bottling lines with capacities of 9,000 and 6,000 bottles per hour respectively.
